With Chrome, I have a lot of extensions so posting them all here is kind of a waste of time, but I did go through them one by one and they don't seem to be the problem. Yeah, Malwarebytes usually works like a charm for me. I did find malware on my system, it just didn't manage to get everything out because some files seem to be hidden. Like I said in my opening post, I made the mistake of not writing down the name of the malware it found so now I can't do a custom search for said hidden files.
