I can't try to solve my problem by installing updates because the Adobe Application Manager checks, downloads and installs the updates. Vernon, Nitin, have you resolved this problem? Thank you in advance for your answers! Vernon Pardue 2 Posts 0 Reply Likes. I ended up resolving this problem before I received an answer. I had previously activated and registered PS CS5 as normal, but I don't remember it taking as long the second time. I don't know why this worked for me and not you, unless installing the new version of AAM before starting PS CS5 had something to do with it. I was concerned that it might remove software needed my my version of Adobe Acrobat 8, but evidently not, because both work as of my last attempt.
Actually, we can apply some simple methods to reduce the system resource consumption and improve the operating efficiency of the system, such as manually disabling useless Adobe startup service items etc. If you have the same problem, you might as well have a look at the approach shared by iPhone fan zczyzi. Firstly, open the disk utility.

I am about scap ALL my adobe products. This cleaner worked. I do not understand how Adobe can put out a product AAM that does not have an uninstall option built in to the product or in the Windows Programs and Features program listing. Why does it take someone like you, who obviously has done his research, to provide a solution to those of us who MIGHT have found this cleaner eventually and Adobe can not?
How to Disable Adobe Update Manager
I think this decides it. The cleaner didn't do squat for me!!!! I did not get any of the options you are mentioning — and yes, I used the one for Windows. When I ran it, it only opened a command window, and none of the options were relevant. Adobe Flash Player When you run 3, all your desires will be met. AAM is gone!!!!! The description for AAM appears to be intentionally misleading. The interface is confusing; AAM lists installed software as not being installed, as well as software that is not part of my creative suite.
Why would I possibly want to install a trail version alongside my equivalent licensed version? If Adobe wanted to push an update that truly provided core functionality, they would have done this as they have done in the past, and I would not have a confusing listing of trial software sitting of my desktop.
Does anyone know of a way to keep AAM from popping up in the application update manager? So the question remains How do I iuninstall Adobe Application Manager from my computer? It was not "required" before 22 September I am uninstalling Adobe programs one at a time to see if it goes away. Adobe Reader Adobe AIR uninstalled properly. Adobe Shockwave Player uninstalled properly. So my question remains How do I completely uninstall Adobe Application Manager? Go to original post.
